The Lobster Bisque Dress did not begin with a soup recipe. It began with my desire to create something luxurious, balanced, and smooth, much like a lobster bisque itself.

When I first started imagining what a truly perfect dress might be, I wasn’t only thinking of fabric and fit. I was thinking of my daughter, Lavender, and of the future I want to help create for her. A future where the fashion industry moves toward sustainability and inclusivity rather than away from it.

I chose to launch this dress in autumn, my favorite season, because autumn is a season of richness. The air is full of texture, scent, and change. Why is it called the Lobster Bisque Dress?

The name came from our very first sample. It arrived in the most beautiful warm peach-bisque tone — cozy, inviting, and a little unexpected. At the same time, autumn was arriving, soup season was beginning, and the nickname “the Lobster Bisque Dress” simply stuck.

The name feels true to the Lavender Lobster spirit. Just as a bowl of lobster bisque warms you from the inside out, this dress was designed to bring the same comfort and ease into your wardrobe.
